Social Media is an interesting thing.
Here’s what I know…
1. I like it.
2. It feels like it has tons of potential.
3. It feels like it could be dangerous.
4. It’s part of our world.
So…as I consider it and what to do with it I needed a balanced opinion to help me process it. My friend Carey Nieuwhof provided his readers with that the other day. I wanted to provide it to you. You can read that HERE.

A fast from something that so penetrates our lives like Social Media seems to be a good idea. I can see what Carey was thinking when he went into the fast…and am a little surprised at his findings.
At the end of his post he mentioned that some people need to get involved more in social media…not sure i agree with that. I do agree that it gets people more involved in the world around them, but it can also have the opposite effect. Take for example that iPhone glaze most of us iPhone snobs possess (that also goes for BB users as well).
Maybe the answer is a media fast. Carlos Whitaker pulled it off a few years ago and had some cool results.
