Being “Gotten”

I was at a wedding recently. It was a great wedding.  Great Bride…whom I know and love.  Great Groom…who I met at the wedding.  Great Family…one that I watch and learn from every time we get together.

But, I’ve got to be honest.  My attentions were not on the couple…

I spent the weekend watching and wondering about what was going on in the mind of the nine year old son of the groom.

He was in an interesting situation to say the least.

Coachshef turns 6…

well…6 months that is.

And, I’m celebrating in style. My three kids are in the hotel room here sleeping and I’m working in the bathroom.  Seriously…I moved the desk chair into here and my computer is teetering between the sink and some freshly washed baby bottles.  It’s the only way I can make sure not to wake them up…so, I went for it.

We’ve also had some pretty good success.  This is mostly due to John Saddington on this end.  With this mind for this stuff he has equipped me in both technology and strategy.  Thanks John for all you do.

On your end…well it’s mostly due to you.  Thanks for coming on over and reading this stuff. I’m always amazed at just who and how many show up!  I’m in great company for sure.

Now I have a decision to make and I wanted to share it.

A Church You Can Invite Your Friends To…For Now.

One of the unique things about working at North Point is the culture of the staff.

It’s almost like we believe we are on one side of a growth curve and that, one of these days, we will inevitability be on the other side if we’re not paying attention.  It’s like we constantly walk along the edge of a cliff and…one of these days…if we’re not careful…we’ll slip and fall.

In fact, it was magnified when a good friend in the organization came up to me and asked if I was bored.  My mind went straight passed the concern of a friend…straight passed the actual question…and started wondering “why?” she would ask that.  I think she was nervous of the same thing.

Here’s the concern.

My team is pretty healthy and doing great work.

Terrible isn’t it?

You’re probably wondering why that is a concern…or maybe you’re wired like me and know exactly what the problem is.

The problem is this…
