Coachshef is 1 Year Old

Well…We did it!

It wasn’t like the ill-fated piano lesson venture of 84…

Or the elliptical purchase of a 05…

This one actually stuck…this one lasted.  We made it one full year.  126 posts!

When I started, the Godfather of my blog, John Saddington, told me that the most important thing to do was to set some attainable weekly goals for blogging.  I did…I figured I could do 3 or 4 a week.  He wisely talked me down.  He then told me to go ahead a pick some categories and start writing.

His point was that I won’t get it right anyway…so get going…and then change them when you figure them out.    He was right.

The blogs that I ended up writing almost always fell under some sort of leadership.

That being said, I think every leader needs to focus on 4 aspects of leadership (a blog to be written soon) and those are the basic idea to my new categories.

So…I wanted to give you some good reading.

I enjoyed THIS one on…well…productivity.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite Blogs to read.  ENJOY!

Peyton Manning and Your Leadership

I love football.

Unfortunately, I was a late bloomer so I was never big enough to play..although Hines Ward and I share the same height and weight stats, I have a feeling though that his 200 some pounds are in different places than mine.

Anyway, it’s a great game.  You have a leader on the sideline,  leaders on the field, and guys with different jobs and levels of leadership doing different things.  Some of those guys play their guts out every play and are never going to touch the ball!  It’s not in their job description!   It’s the only team sport where you can have less talent and win consistently by sheer will and team work.

So…every weekend I love to watch two teams go at it.  And…I usually learn something about leadership during a game.  Either I make a mental note to do something new as a leader or a make a note NEVER to do something.

Plus…I have a ton of fun.

Here’s what I learned this past Thursday night.

Managing Your Multi-Campus Team – PART 2

So…we’re moving on.

To be clear…my best advice is still exactly that.  You can see that HERE.

And…you’ve answered the first question and considered this idea.  You can see that HERE.

And now we need to talk MULTI-CAMPUS MODEL.

I’ve heard people describe many different approaches but they all reduce down to two basic models.

Model #1 I like to call the “Mother Ship” Model.

Model #2 I like to call the “Collaborative” Model.

Here’s the basic difference.  You have two major things to work on in a ministry.
